Megan Fox explains how she made up with the director of 'Transformers' after famously comparing him to Hitler

  • Megan Fox and director Michael Bay famously had a falling out after the second "Transformers" movie.
  • The two later made up and are now friends.
  • Fox told Andy Cohen on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" that she reached out first to make up.

There's no longer any bad blood between actress Megan Fox and director Michael Bay.

During an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" Thursday, the 32-year-old actress explained how she and Bay became "BFFs" after their falling out.

"I was young when a lot of that was happening, and I was really self-righteous in my anger," Fox said. "I thought I was right to speak the way that I spoke. As I got a little older, I understood regardless of whatever my issues were, they should always have remained private. You should never blast someone like that in public."

Fox was cast in Bay's "Transformers" and returned for the film's sequel, "Revenge of the Fallen," in 2009. But in an interview with Wonderland that year, the actress was asked about working with the director and compared him to Hitler.

"He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is, so he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward," she said. "He has no social skills at all. ... He's vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he's a tyrant."

The actress was attached to star in the third film in the franchise, "Dark of the Moon," but soon after that interview, it was revealed she wouldn't be returning. Fox's representatives told People in 2010 that the actress chose to leave the franchise.

"It was her decision not to return," her reps said. "She wishes the franchise the best."

But in an interview with GQ in 2011, Bay said that Fox was fired at executive producer Steven Spielberg's request.

"[Fox] was in a different world, on her BlackBerry. You gotta stay focused," Bay said. "And you know, the Hitler thing. Steven [Spielberg] said, 'Fire her right now.'"

He continued: "I wasn't hurt, because I know that's just Megan. Megan loves to get a response. And she does it in kind of the wrong way. I'm sorry, Megan. I'm sorry I made you work 12 hours. I'm sorry that I'm making you show up on time. Movies are not always warm and fuzzy."

Spielberg later denied telling Bay to fire Fox. "That's not true," he told Entertainment Weekly, asked about the claim

Fox said she reached out to Bay with good wishes for "Dark of the Moon," and he responded asking who it was. The two made up and worked together again for 2014's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and 2016's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows." Bay served as a producer on the films.

"I've always loved Michael," Fox told Entertainment Weekly. "We've had our battles in the past but even when I've been really outspoken about difficulties we’ve had, I've always followed up by saying that I have a particular affinity to him."

Megan Fox just confirmed she had a 'romantic' relationship with Shia LaBeouf while filming 'Transformers'

Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox

  • Megan Fox played "Plead The Fifth" during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" Thursday night.
  • Cohen asked Fox to characterize her relationship with Shia LaBeouf while filming "Transformers" in 2006.
  • Back in 2011, LaBeouf said that he and Fox had been romantically involved on set — but the actress has never before affirmed that claim.
  • "I would confirm that it was romantic," Fox told Cohen. "I mean, I love him. I've never been really quiet about that."

Megan Fox opened up about her relationship with "Transformers" co-star Shia LaBeouf during an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" Thursday night.

On the segment "Plead the Fifth," Cohen asks guests to answer three rapid-fire questions honestly and can only pass on one of them. Cohen asked Fox to characterize her relationship with LaBeouf while filming the movie in 2006 — a relationship that LaBeouf had previously said was romantic.

"I would confirm that it was romantic," Fox told Cohen. "I love him. I've never been really quiet about that."

"So it was like, an on-set romance that didn't go anywhere afterwards?" Cohen clarified.

"Yeah," Fox replied.

In a 2011 cover story for Details magazine, LaBeouf revealed that he and Fox had some kind of fling, but did not reveal any details.

"Look, you're on the set for six months, with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them," he said, as reported by Huffpost. "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen."

The admission caused quite a stir, considering Fox had been engaged to her husband, Brian Austin Green, at the time.

"I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know," LaBeouf said about her relationship with Green, repeating the phrase 12 times. "It was what it was."

'SNL' pokes fun at how many original shows and movies Netflix makes

  • If you feel like there's so much content on Netflix that you can't keep up, "Saturday Night Live" has a sketch for you. The NBC variety series aired a sketch poking fun at how much original content the streaming service is putting out.
  • "In 2019, we'll have even more programming to choose from because we've gone crazy," says a voice-over in the sketch. "That's right, we're spending billions of dollars and making every show in the world. Our goal is the endless scroll."
  • The sketch isn't complete hyperbole. In June, The Economist reported Netflix would spend $12-$13 billion on original programming this year.
  • Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in May that Netflix will have 1,000 originals by the end of the year. Netflix originals consist of series licensed from other studios and some shows that are self-produced.

  • Alec Baldwin returned to "Saturday Night Live" to play President Trump a month after he was arrested for allegedly punching someone over a parking spot dispute.
  • The seven-minute cold open sketch mocked a talked-about moment from the G20 Summit in Argentina where Vladimir Putin enthusiastically high-fived Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (Fred Armisen) as Trump appeared in the background.
  • Meanwhile, Ben Stiller returned as Michael Cohen to give Trump an update on the Robert Mueller probe along with Rudy Giuliani (Kate McKinnon). Earlier in the week, Cohen pleaded guilty to making false statements to Congress about his involvement in efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.
  • Baldwin, as Trump, even poked fun at his November 2 arrest saying, "God, I haven’t been this upset since I flipped out over that parking space."
  • The five came together at the end of the video, with Cecily Strong's Melania Trump, to sing a parody of "Evita's""Don't Cry For Me Argentina." Some of the lyrics included Baldwin's Trump singing, "Don't cry for me, Argentina. The truth is, I'm very guilty. Some little no-nos. And maybe treason. But I kept my promise. Oops, no I didn't." Watch the video below.

"The Office" cast reunited and fans were thrilled.

On Sunday, 10 cast members got together at the home of "The Office" showrunner Greg Daniels and documented their day on social media.

Creed Bratton, Paul Lieberstein, Brian Baumgartner, Leslie David Baker, Phyllis Smith, Oscar Nunez, Rainn Wilson, Angela Kinsey, Jenna Fischer, and Ed Helms all posed for photos, even trying to recreate a Christmas office photo from set.

"Best brunch ever," Fischer wrote in her Instagram caption. "Thank you Greg for bringing us all together. 'An office is a place where dreams come true.'"

She also said they all missed remaining cast members Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Ellie Kemper, BJ Novak, Mindy Kaling, Craig Robinson, and Kate Flannery. Fischer added a cryptic "See you soon" at the end of her caption.

Fans were excited to see the cast back together.

Some fans have been hoping for a reboot, but Carell said in October that it wasn't a "good idea."

"It might be impossible to do that show today and have people accept it the way it was accepted 10 years ago," he told Esquire

When Carell hosted NBC's "Saturday Night Live" in November, he had a mini reunion with cast members Helms, Fischer, and Kemper during his monologue. His former cast members pressured him into agreeing into a reboot.

Paul Hollywood Great british Baking show

  • Every week, we put together a list of three great shows you should watch.
  • This week, we recommend Netflix's original series "Bojack Horseman" as well as new holiday themed episodes of "The Great British Baking Show."

Stuck on what to watch next? Look no further.

Since December is all about the holidays, there's not as much new television as usual, so now is the best time to catch up on things you may have missed. And we're here to make it easier to pick what shows you watch on Netflix this week.

We know what it's like to spend way too much free time choosing what to watch on Netflix, so every week we put together a list of three shows you can watch right now.

We pick shows you can finish in a day, and some you can just get started on binge-watching. We mix shows that have recently come onto the service with some old favorites you might have missed.

From new holiday episodes of "The Great British Baking Show to "Bojack Horseman" here are three great TV shows you can binge-watch on Netflix this week:

"The Great British Baking Show: Holiday"

Seasons: 1

Episodes: 2

Netflix description:

It feels like all I do these days is recommend this show. But the holidays are here, and there's a few brand new holiday-themed episodes of the most soothing show ever made, featuring former contestants. You'll burn through this season quickly, and it will inspire you to take on some incredibly complex holiday bakes.

"The Office"

Seasons: 9

Episodes: 201

"The Office" is a great escape from your own office life ... hopefully. The first few seasons contain some of the most well-written comedy in history and, of course, feature Steve Carell's outstanding performance as Michael Scott. A rewatch of "The Office" is easy to burn through, contains some of the best holiday episodes in television history, and it will have you screaming about how Carell never won an Emmy.

"Bojack Horseman"

Seasons: 5

Episodes: 61

"Bojack" is without a doubt one of the best TV shows right now, and one of the best Netflix originals. If you haven't watched season five, take some time out of your week to binge it. And if you haven't watched it at all, it's a great time to start, since there's not much new TV during the holiday season.

  • The red robes and white bonnets from "The Handmaid's Tale" have become symbols of resistance.
  • Costume designer Ane Crabtree spoke with INSIDER about seeing her designs used in protests.
  • She said it is "humbling."

The striking red cape and white bonnet from "The Handmaid's Tale" has become a symbol of protest and resistance. But costume designer Ane Crabtree doesn't fully know how to react to seeing her designs being used politically.

"It really moves me so much and it means so much to me ... but I feel like how would I know yet?" Crabtree told INSIDER. "It's only been two years. ... What's interesting is that it's global now. It's being used in so many countries for so many different reasons and protests. All I can say is that it's very humbling."

Protesters have adopted the Handmaid's uniform because they see it as a symbol of an oppressive government that treats women as property and seeks to control their reproductive rights.

In June of 2017, Planned Parenthood staged a demonstration at the Capitol where protesters wore "Handmaid's Tale" costumes in opposition to the proposed healthcare bill which would restrict funding to health care centers that provide access to abortions and other forms of birth control.

During the confirmation hearings for Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused of sexual misconduct by female classmates, protesters also showed up in the red cloak and white bonnets.

Ofglen and Offred salvaging The Handmaid's Tale

The ensemble has been used in protests for abortion rights in countries including Ireland, Argentina, and Costa Rica.

In October, Elisabeth Moss' Handmaid's costume was added to a permanent collection at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

"The meaning of it will probably hit me 20 years from now for real, but it's so beautiful, the feeling," Crabtree said.

Season two of the series will be released on DVD Tuesday.

14 TV shows that should've been canceled this year — sorry

  • "The Walking Dead" has been on for a long time, but it's lost too many main characters.
  • Shows like "Insatiable" and "13 Reasons Why" have already caused a ton of controversy.
  • "Big Little Lies" had such a great first season and finale that a second season might take away from it.

Whether a series starts off with a bang or has rough beginnings, it's important to know when a show has simply run its course.

Here are 14 shows that probably should've been canceled this year, based on critic scores, viewership, and editorial opinion.

Warning: Some minor spoilers below.

"The Walking Dead" has lost so many main characters.

The zombie drama has been going strong since 2010, but eight years later it's suffering from recycled storylines, a loss of so many main characters, and a weird time jump that further complicated an already complicated show.

This season, the show's ratings have been down by 40% and, according to Variety, the show's ratings are as low as they've ever been

"13 Reasons Why" has been deemed excessively graphic for a teen television show.

This Netflix series has come under fire for its graphic portrayal of suicide, sexual assault, gun violence, and more. Although these are all issues people deal with, it's hard for many to understand why graphically depicting them is necessary.

Since the show's lead character Hannah Baker, played by Katherine Langford, likely won't be returning for a third season anyway, now could be the best time to end the series for good.

"Big Little Lies" might've been best as a miniseries.

The HBO show did an excellent job of translating Liane Moriarty's book from page to screen. But just because it was a hit doesn't mean it should continue. With such a perfect season one finale, a second season gives the series the potential to tarnish just how great the first season was.

21 new TV shows people believe are going to be canceled

  • INSIDER conducted a survey to find out what new TV shows viewers think will get canceled.
  • Using the data, we collected a list of 21 shows that people believe will be canceled.
  • A lot of people agreed that "The Conners,""The Alec Baldwin Show," and "Dancing With the Stars: Juniors" will get the axe.

We're nearing the end of the fall TV season, and we can’t help but wonder what shows are going to get canceled.

And while we may not know those will be until 2019, viewers are feeling the tension. INSIDER was interested in the new shows that viewers are worried about, and conducted a survey to find out what new network TV shows people think are in danger of getting the axe.

We collected a list of the shows people think will get canceled and included the percentage of participants who listed that show, along with the show's IMDB description.

Some shows people can agree are at risk of cancellation include "The Alec Baldwin Show,""The Conners," and "Dancing With the Stars: Juniors."

SurveyMonkey Audience polls from a national sample balanced by census data of age and gender. Respondents are incentivized to complete surveys through charitable contributions. Generally speaking, digital polling tends to skew toward people with access to the internet. SurveyMonkey Audience doesn't try to weight its sample based on race or income. Total 1,217 respondents, margin of error 3% with 95% confidence level, poll ran Nov. 16 to 17.

Here are the shows that people think are most in danger of being canceled:

"The Alec Baldwin Show"— ABC

Of those surveyed, 29.87% believe this talk show will be canceled. In November, ABC moved the show from the Sunday night line-up to Saturdays, which isn't good news for its longevity.

IMDB description: Weekly talk show hosted by actor Alec Baldwin.

"The Conners"— ABC

Of the people surveyed, 28.1% think that the "Roseanne" spin-off is doomed. While "The Conners" has steady ratings, it's only drawing in half the audience that the revival, which aired earlier this year, did. This could mean that it won't get picked up for another season, but the ratings are steady enough that it could stick around. Our guess? It was always intended as a one-season show, and will end with its first season in 2019.

IMDB description: Follow-up to the comedy series Roseanne (1988), centering on the family members of the matriarch after her sudden death.

"Dancing With the Stars: Juniors"— ABC

Of those who were surveyed, 25.44% believe this show will get canceled. And that's fair: It doesn't capture the magic of the popular reality competition series. And historically, kid spin-offs of popular reality shows do not perform well. Remember "American Juniors?" You probably don't, because it didn't last long.

IMDB description: A spin-off of "Dancing With the Stars" pairing celebrity kids with professional junior ballroom dancers to perform choreographed routines, which are judged by a panel that includes renowned ballroom experts.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for season three, episode seven of "Riverdale," titled "The Man in Black."

Hiram Lodge is behind much of the terror during Wednesday's episode of "Riverdale."

When Jughead and Archie end up at the Lake farm, they discover that Hiram is employing all of the men and boys in a town for his prison and drug empire. Meanwhile, Betty learns that Hiram's Fizzle Rocks are being given to the youths at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, prompting hallucinatory experiences. Somehow, this is also all related to the Gargoyle King.

As always, the CW show included some pop culture and comic references. We worked with Archie Comics to find five details you may have missed.

Laurie Lake is a character from Wilbur Comics.

Jughead and Archie find themselves at the Lake family farm where they meet Gracie and Laurie Lake. Laurie Lake is a character from Wilbur Comics, which was a series published by Archie Comics. The comics followed Wilbur Wilkins and his girlfriend Laurie, who were often compared to Archie and Betty.

Jughead references "American Gothic."

"It's a little too 'American Gothic,' even for me," Jughead says about the Lake farm. "American Gothic" is a 1930 painting by Grant Wood of a farmer and his daughter in front of a farm house.

Griffins and Gargoyles

Warning: Spoilers ahead for season three of "Riverdale."

"Gryphons and Gargoyles" (G&G) is a dangerous game on "Riverdale."

The role-playing game, similar to "Dungeons and Dragons," is behind five deaths so far — RIP Dilton, Ben, Principal Featherhead, Warden Norton, and Joaquin — and it's sure to affect more residents as the third season of the hit CW show progresses.

Betty and Jughead are working to uncover the mystery surrounding the game, and viewers are trying to do the same.

Here's what we know so far.

How is the game affecting Riverdale?

The first introduction to the game comes when Jughead tries to ask Ben and Dilton what they are playing at Pop's Diner during the premiere. Dilton tries to answer, but all he gets out is "Gryphons and..." before Ben tells him to shut up.

Later, when Jughead is preparing to go to Archie's trial, Dilton knocks on Jug's door in a panic.

When Jughead asks who, Dilton eventually responds with, "The Gargoyle King."

Jughead finds a paper covered in weird symbols and what looks to be a stick creature in his home. The symbols lead him to the woods where he finds Ben and Dilton unresponsive and kneeling in front of an altar with symbols carved into their backs. Dilton dies in the park due to cyanide consumption after mixing the poison with Fresh-Aid. After recovering in the hospital, Ben then leaps to his death out of the hospital window mentioning that he isn't afraid to "ascend" like Dilton was.

Betty and Jughead learn that Ethel is also playing the game. When they confront her, she reveals that Dilton had a secret bunker in the woods. Betty and Jughead later find the bunker and discover that the poisoned chalice Ben and Dilton drank from was part of "G&G."

Betty and Jughead go to Ethel to ask more questions, and Jughead asks what the "kingdom" means. He also inquires about the rulebook, which Ethel refers to as the "scripture."

She tells him that he "isn't worthy of the king's scripture," so he asks if she can show him. When Jughead goes to the bunker and meets Ethel, she is dressed in her Princess Etheline gown. She has him choose a character, and he picks the Hellcaster.

"Good choice," she says. "That was Ben's avatar. I was supposed to ascend with him but then he betrayed me and finished the game with Dilton instead."

After getting through part of the game, Ethel presents Jughead with two chalices. When he incredulously asks if one of them is poisoned, she says it's "gargoyle blood." He drinks it to get the manual and is fine. But before she hands it over to him, she makes him kiss her because it's all part of the "scripture."

Ethel then drinks from the other chalice and starts to get ill. He saves her life by getting her to the hospital. She denies being suicidal and then threatens Jughead if he spills the secrets.

"I told him you were worthy enough to spread his gospel," she tells him.

How do they play the game?

In the bunker, Betty and Jug find coins with the Gargoyle King on them, drawings of the king, and various knick-knacks from the game.

The game consists of a die and quests that the players must complete. Sometimes, they dress up in costumes to match their characters. Along with the game master's book, there's a small game board, characters to choose from, and quest cards used to control the game.

On the flashback episode, it's made clear that the game master designs the quests and incorporates them into the real world.

The Gargoyle King himself is a terrifying creature who seems to be behind the rules of the game.

Jughead has a theory.

Someone, possibly Ethel, distributed a manual to every student's locker at Riverdale High.

"By next weekend, almost every student at Riverdale High would be playing "Gryphons and Gargoyles," and the real game was just beginning," Jughead says.

Jughead starts to play and becomes a level three-game master and leads his players on quests. When Betty goes to tell him about their parent’s secret, he tells her that he is working to ascend and meet the Gargoyle King.

He says that their parents playing the game means that his theory is correct: "We have been playing this game for a lot longer than we know and off board."

He says the gang fights and struggles they have had to deal with are all just part of the game. He also points out an interesting fact about the game's location.

"Eldervair, the realm of 'Gryphons and Gargoyles' is an anagram for Riverdale," he said. "The whole game is an analog for Riverdale. The game only exists in Riverdale, that's why we couldn't find it on the web. It's all connected. It's all one big narrative that's still being written and played."

When Jughead and Archie find themselves in the town of Athens, Jughead finds a group of kids playing "G&G." That means the game is expanding more than they could have anticipated.

The series is implying that Hiram Lodge may be involved, but it could be another red herring. All we really know is that "G&G" isn't going away any time soon.
